Napoli have increased the asking price for Victor Osimhen to a staggering €160 million.

Napoli has reportedly increased the asking price for Victor Osimhen to a staggering €160 million, making it the third-highest transfer fee in history, according to Il Mattino. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is looking to spark a bidding war between interested parties such as PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Newcastle, and Chelsea. While De Laurentiis prefers Osimhen to stay for another season, his contract expiring in 2025, he is willing to sell if he receives a €160m offer. Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable 2022-23 season, scoring an impressive 28 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, including 23 in Serie A, making him the top scorer in the league. Napoli won their first Scudetto in 33 years, and Osimhen also scored five times in the Champions League before being knocked out in the quarter-finals by AC Milan, with his absence in the first leg cited as a key reason for their defeat.
