Lionel Messi has reportedly set two conditions for his return to Barcelona in the upcoming summer. Currently suspended from PSG due to his unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, which led him to skip training on Monday, Messi will be leaving the Parc des Princes club as a free agent in the summer. It is speculated that Messi may have already played his final game for PSG.

Lionel Messi has laid down two conditions to Barcelona if he is to return to the club in the summer.

What next for Lionel Messi?

Lionel Messi’s future is still up in the air, with a big-money offer from Saudi Arabia currently the favorite option, even though he would prefer to stay in Europe, ideally at Barcelona.

According to AS, Messi has laid out two conditions for his return to Camp Nou. Firstly, he wants the No.10 shirt, which is currently held by Ansu Fati. Secondly, he has requested a contract offer that is signed and endorsed by LaLiga, with all the formalities completed.

The latter condition presents a major obstacle as Barcelona is stretched financially and needs to make significant cuts or raise over €200 million before June 30 to sign new players. While there have been reports that the club’s president, Joan Laporta, is looking for ways to secure funds, it remains a challenging task, even if Messi is willing to take a substantial pay cut.

Messi’s return to Barcelona is still possible, but it remains complicated.
