The 24-year-old right-back has been an integral part of Liverpool’s recent resurgence, playing a hybrid role depending on whether the team is in or out of possession. He has contributed eight assists and four goals in the current campaign, including a fantastic free-kick against Leicester City.

Liverpool’s Ugarte links
Liverpool will not be pursuing a deal for Sporting CP midfielder Manuel Ugarte this summer, despite having talks with Gestifute about a possible move. The club was not willing to pay the full release clause of €60 million and had concerns about whether Ugarte would provide value for money, given his lack of Premier League experience and different playing style at Sporting CP.
Instead, Liverpool is reportedly seeking a No.6 midfielder who plays in a three-man midfield system, with Romeo Lavia being a potential target. The club is also said to be interested in Alexis Mac Allister and Mason Mount as major targets. While there is no indication that Mac Allister won’t be moving to Anfield, it is contingent on whether Liverpool can secure a Champions League spot this season.
