After Genoa and Lorient, Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has a new option.

The Netherlands star looks likely to leave Man Utd and, according to The Athletic, can enter the Champions League with Galatasaray.

The Turkish side qualified for the group stages of the competition on Tuesday at the expense of Molde and see Van de Beek as a logical addition to their ranks after the inevitable windfall from the deal.

Now that the final hours of the transfer period are approaching, Van de Beek still seems on course to get his desired departure from Man Utd.

The 26-year-old midfielder has not been included in Erik ten Hag’s plans for some time and initially seemed to be leaving for Real Sociedad. The Spanish outfit seems to have dropped out of the running in the meantime, but a departure from Man Utd is still probable.

Galatasaray are busy making their squad ready for the Champions League and earlier this summer already announced the arrivals of Mauro Icardi and Hakim Ziyech. Van de Beek could be the next big arrival.

The Istanbul outfit are reportedly working on a loan deal with Manchester United, who could use the departure of Van de Beek. The Red Devils still hope to be able to add Sofyan Amrabat to Ten Hag’s squad from Fiorentina, but have to make room in the workforce in terms of salary.

A busy end to the transfer window at Man Utd

At Man Utd, there is still a lot to happen before the transfer window closes.

Not only are they still hoping for the arrival of Amrabat, a left-back will also be added to the squad.

Due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, there is no senior fit option at left-back. Marc Cucurrela and Nicolas Tagliafico, among others, are in the picture to make the switch to Manchester United before the transfer window closes on Friday.
