In the recent episode of “Welcome to Plathville,” Barry Plath opens up about his feelings regarding Kim Plath moving on after their divorce. Although hesitant to discuss the topic, Barry eventually shares his thoughts with the filming crew.

During the episode, Barry and Kim are brought together at Moriah Plath’s dance competition, marking the first time they have seen each other since Kim revealed that she is dating Ken Palmer. Nervously, Kim acknowledges the awkwardness of the situation, stating, “This is the first time I’ve been at an event with Barry and the children since they all learned that I’m dating someone now.” She emphasizes the importance of setting aside their differences for the sake of their children and maintaining civility.

The situation appears to be uncomfortable not only for Kim and Barry but also for their children. While Lydia may not fully agree with Kim’s decision to date, she expresses her support for her mother and her willingness to be there for her family regardless of their choices. Ethan, on the other hand, holds a different viewpoint. He believes that while individuals have the right to date whomever they choose, it should be after the divorce is finalized. He expresses his opinion that starting a new relationship while still going through a divorce is not appropriate.

As the episode unfolds, Barry Plath shares some insights into his feelings about the situation with Kim. He acknowledges that, for the sake of their children, he can be civil and be around Kim. He also mentions how it would mean a lot to him if Kim showed her support for him in front of their children. However, he also expresses his disapproval of Kim’s choice to date Ken, stating that he does not condone or agree with it, even though it is happening in front of him.

Barry admits that although it may appear that he is moving forward, there are times when he feels anger towards Kim during the divorce process. When asked if he has met Ken, he firmly states that Kim’s private life is her jurisdiction and he is not involved. He deflects the question, implying that it is not a topic he wishes to discuss further.
