Throughout the season, Whitney and her brother Hunter have been doing everything they can to support their father, Glenn, after the passing of their mother, Babs. While fans appreciate their efforts, many feel that the situation has gotten out of hand. Onscreen, viewers have witnessed Whitney speaking disrespectfully to her father, and they’ve had enough.

Reddit became a platform for viewers to express their true thoughts about the recent episode. Let’s see what they had to say.

Fans of MBFFL believe Whitney behaved childishly onscreen

If you were bothered by Whitney Way Thore’s behavior in the latest episode of MBFFL, you were not alone. Many other viewers found the situation utterly distasteful. Redditors didn’t hold back in sharing their feelings about the argument between Whitney and her father.

“In the last episode,” the original Redditor titled their post, “I usually give Whitney some leeway with her behavior, but in this last episode, she was AWFUL. As someone who has lost both parents, I understand how grief and stress can amplify negative traits… but come on. The way she talks to Glenn is rude, obnoxious, and controlling. He is not incapable or invalid. He is an older man who has taken care of himself for so long?! My God.”

It was undoubtedly an unpleasant situation, to say the least. Many Redditors admitted they would be uncomfortable if a small child spoke to their parents in that manner, let alone a grown woman.

Redditors share their thoughts on the TLC star’s unacceptable behavior

Several viewers of My Big Fat Fabulous Life chimed in and expressed similar sentiments to the original poster.

“I think she needs a lot of individual therapy and then some family therapy with the three of them,” another Redditor agreed. “On the other hand, poor Glenn just wants some peace from all of this. I can’t imagine going through all that with cameras in your face! Losing a wife and then being berated by your daughter on camera for the world to see? I can’t fathom the level of emotional damage that does to a person.”

“She needs Glenn way more than Glenn needs her. Glenn should save himself and move out of her house, cutting off her access to the intricacies of his life,” someone else added. “She is desperate to become the glue that holds the family together so they will be dependent on her and unable to leave her. She’s terrified of being alone, and it shows. Once Glenn is gone, Hunter will be free, and she won’t be able to control him. She’ll be alone.”

While no family dynamic is perfect, fans of MBFFL seem to agree that the Thore family needs serious help and intervention.
